Massimo Scalia uses elementary shapes such as lines, circles, curves, and squares to translate the music of Steve Reich or Philiph Glass into a visual experiences that actively engage the viewer, at times triggering optical sensations of vibration and movement. Each line of his canvas represent a note of the music the artist is listening meanwhile painting it together with help of technology. Thus, the canvas become the tangigle perception of an immaterial experience which is music.
